Millie's Hair Oils was created from a simple need: healthy hair that holds moisture. Like many people with afro-textured hair, I struggled with dryness and breakage even after wash day. Moisture would disappear too quickly, leaving my hair fragile and difficult to manage.
Millie's Retention Oil was created to solve that problem - a rich, solid oil designed to lock in moisture, protect the ends and help hair stay strong between wash days. Today, Millie's Hair Oils is about more than a product. Its about embracing natural texture protecting our crowns, and turning hair care into a nourishing ritual.

Even after using numerous prescriptions and creams, from over the counter, none of them worked to elevate the dryness and hair loss, of my daughter, who was only a few months old, and who suffered badly from her symptoms of eczema. In 2014, I made the decision to start taking care of my hair, with the goal of achieving longer and healthier hair. However, I quickly discovered that this journey was not going to be as easy as I initially thought. Natural hair products for black hair were limited, and many of the products available were chemically induced and overpriced. I wanted to find something organic that I could use on my hair.
After months of searching, I was unable to find a cost-effective hair oil that had the right nutrients to maintain length and encourage hair growth. As a result, I decided to create my own organic hair oil called Millie's Retention Oil.
It took me a year of research to create a quality hair oil that would meet the needs of not only my hair type but others as well. The oil is naturally sourced and designed to help prevent breakage while also stimulating blood flow to the scalp when applied.
After testing the hair oil with friends and family, who gave me monthly updates, I received promising feedback, which encouraged me to get it out to others. This is how Millie's Hair Products was born.
My homemade hair products contain over nine different oils that are blended together to help prevent hair breakage, moisturize, and bring shine and softness to every strand of hair, promoting faster hair growth.
